Once Upon An Adventure Summer Camp

This week the kiddos got to attend story camp.  They had fun living out different classic stories throughout the week like the Three Little Pigs and Jack and the Beanstalk.  They even planted beans and got magic stalks the next day.  Also there was a lot of fun with fairies and Brooke enjoyed being a fairy and they both built fairy houses to bring home.  They even got to meet some royal figures.  A big thank you to Oma for taking the kiddos to the rest of this camp so we could travel to NYC.

Father’s Day

This Father’s Day we had a lot of fun celebrating AJ!  It started off with a big breakfast then, AJ read to the kiddos while I cleaned up the kitchen.  Brooke and Alex were so excited to give AJ his presents.  We let AJ have some alone time at home in the morning and then we all went to lunch at one of his favorite places Mr. Jims.  After a nap for Alex and more downtime for AJ we all went to the pool for some fun.  I cooked AJ his favorite steak and salad for dinner after swimming.  Happy Father’s Day AJ!

Mommy Daughter Date

Since yesterday was her last day of school Brooke asked me to have a Mommy Daughter Date.  I put Alex in Summer Camp at his preschool for the morning so we could spend some much needed time alone together.  Brooke and I went kayaking together and had a lot of fun.  Then we went to her favorite, Panera, for lunch before picking up Alex a 1pm.  It was nice to spend some time with her.

Brooke’s Last Day of Kindergarten

Today was Brooke’s last day of Kindergarten, next year she will be in first grade.  We are so proud of what she has accomplished in this year and how much she has grown.  After she had a fun day at school, I took her and Alex to the pool for a few hours of fun, then we came home to have dinner with AJ, and all went to a music concert with ice cream treats.  We enjoyed celebrating our girl.  The school sent home this cute ‘class of’ picture that is now on our fridge and I made the side by side picture to see her first and last day of Kindergarten.

Lake Lawson Walk and Picnic

It was our last day of gorgeous cool 70 degree weather before summer starts in earnest so I took Alex to Lake Lawson for a walk and picnic.
