We are getting close to the end of our summer season with school starting for Brooke next week so today I took the kiddos to the beach. We had a lot of fun mostly swimming and boarding, but also playing in the sand.

Zoo Trip
After attending Alex’s friend’s birthday party at the Virginia Zoo we were free to walk around the exhibits. We had a good time looking at the animals.
Pool Days
We have spent about 5 out of 7 days a week at the pool this summer. I don’t often take pictures because we are playing in the water, but since that is what we spent most of our time doing this summer I grabbed these of us having lunch at the pool the other day.
Alex’s 4 year old well child check
At today’s visit with Dr. Mink Alex was measured at 45.7 inches and 53 lbs. Dr. Mink was very impressed with his verbal reasoning, knowing his alphabet, and general demeanor.
Alex’s 4th Birthday
For Alex’s birthday he had birthday pancakes followed by some beach time. He had a lot of fun playing at the beach with everyone including Ammy and Papa. After dinner of hotdogs and chips we went out for dairy queen. Ammy and Papa read him stories goodnight. It was good birthday!
