With the air getting a bit crisper and the leaves getting ready to change colors for the fall we thought Brooke should have the obligatory baby with pumpkin shot. She handled the whole thing rather well, despite peeing on the blanket and carpet.
The Chesapeake City Park is now open from it’s almost year-long renovations. Laura was checking out the park while AJ was at work and tried Brooke in a swing for the first time. They came back together for some family time at the park. The second time was a lot more successful in the swing as it is padded with two towels. Even though Brooke is much larger than most babies her age (wearing now 9-12 mo clothing at 4 1/2 mo) she is still a very little baby. We had some fun romping with her around the playground though.

Brooke has always sucked her hands and prefers them to any pacifier. Now she is organized enough to suck and chew her thumb.
Brooke’s been toying with the idea for a week or so, but today she set her hips in motion and rolled over for the first time. Brooke was sweet enough to wait until Dad got home from work to show us her first roll. It was all very exciting and Brooke received lots of cheering from Mom and Dad.

Brooke, Marcella, Mattie and I took an afternoon stroll at the always amazingly beautiful gardens. It was good for moms and babies to get some fresh air.
