Now that Alex has mastered pedaling his trike the kiddos like to race down our driveway.
Family Beach Day!
AJ was off today so we headed out to Sandbridge to enjoy the summer day. Our normal beach fun ensued: sand castles, walking all the way to the protected nature area, snacks, the making of mermaids, and playing in the waves. Since it was later in the week a Mister Frosty Ice Cream truck was there so after we showered and dressed to leave we each had a soft serve cone before heading home (Alex’s first cone)!
Tea for Breakfast
Brooke and Alex asked me if I had any ‘kid tea’ that they could drink with breakfast. I told them the names of all the herbal teas I had and they chose an orange citrus spice tea. Both of them really enjoyed it and have been asking me to drink it in the morning.

Mini Chefs Camp
This week Brooke was enrolled in Mini Chefs STEAM Camp for 3 hours in the morning. She loved every day and we are really impressed that they actually cooked every day in addition to having fun playing and learning cooking science. They had a ‘menu’ for the week and at the end she got her own personalized cookbook. She also got to keep her chef’s hat and apron that she decorated with ‘a zucchini, broccoli, and two rainbows’. Monday: Apple Pie, Tuesday: Chocolate Chip Cookies, Wednesday: Cake Decorating, Thursday: Homemade Pasta, Friday: Bread, Butter, and Ice Cream! She had a wonderful time!
