Today Alex had his ceremony for finishing preschool. He scored very well on his kindergarten readiness test and is looking forward to being at the same school as Brooke next year. After they sang and he got his diploma we took him out to lunch to celebrate.
Alex had his end of the year school party at Funville and AJ got to take him. Alex had a lot of fun playing with all his school ‘buddies’ and AJ had a fun time watching them. They were the last to leave the party.
Today celebrated Brooke’s birthday with pancakes, opening presents, and a party at Cloud9. She had a great time playing with her friends and AJ had a lot of fun getting some cool videos (even some slow motion ones). She had a great day!
Because Brooke was going to have such a busy actual birthday we let her open her gift from Alex the day before. On her birthday she got birthday donuts before school, we brought her lunch at school, and she got cake before AJ had to leave for work and she hurried off to ballet. I made her favorite dinner, stroganoff, when we got home from rehearsal.
I had a wonderful Mother’s Day being celebrated. The kids melted down over who would read the cards to me and then after they calmed down I got serenaded. I got a new office chair and we all went to lunch and then the symphony. It was lovely!
