We started off the day by taking a drive to Munden Point Park where we played around in the water and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Brooke talked the whole way home while eating Cheerios, only to fall asleep just outside our neighborhood. After a nap for Brooke, playing around the house and then buying Brooke some new shoes, Laura treated us all to some gelato – – Brooke enjoyed some too. It was a great family day.
Today we went down to the pool and got to hang out. Brooke liked wearing Dad’s sunglasses; she looks better in them anyway.
On AJ’s first day of summer break before he starts with EPT we decided to go on a ‘day date’. We had a great lunch on the river and then went swimming. It was very nice to be at the pool with just each other and just relax.
Today June 30th, 2013 was AJ’s last day of residency so I got up early to surprise him with a special breakfast as he was coming home at 8 o’clock after night shift. Of course I had to make some for Brooke as well. I woke her a bit early so we could be ready when Dad got home but she didn’t seem to mind.
We love living in Chesapeake. There is always something fun going on for our family to go do. During the summer one of our favorite things to do is going to the Towne Place Concerts on Friday evening where they have live music. This year Brooke can now run around and really enjoy herself, which she did tonight.
