We went to Nags Head, NC, better known as the Outer Banks (OBX) for a last weekend away before our baby girl arrives. We had a great time relaxing and sightseeing around the area.
Laura and I went hiking today at First Landing State Park, a local place right near the beach. It was the perfect day out, a little warm but not too hot. My new phone allowed me to attempt taking a few panoramic pictures without much trouble.
We went to the Zoo today, just to monkey around you know… it was the perfect day for it too, a high of 80 F in February!
Merry Christmas! Yesterday, Laura and I had our Christmas day, as I am working all day today. We had a wonderful day, very fun and relaxing. I even made a turkey with all the sides (with the help of Laura, of course). We also got to open our gifts up, one of my favorite activities yesterday because under the tree was a very special gift you see…
Laura and I had decided to find out the sex of our baby to be. She went on Friday, December 23 for her next ultrasound — the 20 week one at which they can determine the sex — and asked the sonographer to place a pink or blue bow (for a girl or boy, respectively) into a small box and seal it. Laura brought the box home, decorated it nicely, and placed it under the tree. Our last gift to open was this present from our child to be. Needless to say, we are very happy parents to be and wanted to not only say, “Merry Christmas!”, but also “It’s a Girl!”
