Enjoying more of our glorious beach…

Today we biked in 95 degree afternoon heat to DQ and then fortified by sugar the kids wanted to cross the bridge to the lock park.  In total it was 7.7 miles and they LOVED the whole thing!

We went to the Chyrsler Art Museum to see the new Eric Carle exhibit.  Before we watched the glass artists make a mermaid jumping into the sea.

I had to talk these kids into going to Harborfest with me this year (I know right? Mermaids! Pirates!) but when I eventually got them in the car we all had a great time.  Not only did we see mermaids and pirates, we saw the Coast Guard rescue people from the harbor and went on every single tall ship in anchor.  They even got to pull up the sails.  The kids loved it!
