AJ’s 33rd Birthday
Unfortunately, AJ had to got to work unexpectedly on his birthday. Brooke and I made him a cake and she decorated it! And we all go to got to dinner with him and sing him happy birthday that night.
A Good Ending
Today was a tough day, Alex has been sick with a flu-like illness and very fussy as to be expected. Brooke woke happy this morning but upon coming home from school had a fever and felt pretty crummy herself. We all tried to get some fresh air in our back yard this afternoon, once we got everyone to stop crying. Then, after everyone had been feed and had a nice warm bath we came back downstairs to relax a little before bedtime; while I was getting some cleaning up done Alex brought Brooke his Whales book which she happily read to him. It couldn’t have been a cuter ending to such a down day.

Opa and Oma Visit For Chrismas
Oma and Opa came to visit this Christmas and we had fun with them while they were here. We played around in our new cul de sac including AJ skateboarding with the kids. We went to Northwest River Park for a hike. We went puddle jumping and sightseeing at the NBG. We had a chilly day at the beach, and Alex ate his fill of sand. The kids opened Christmas Eve gifts of pajamas and training chopsticks for Brooke because our family tradition is to have Chinese food on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, everyone had fun opening presents and we all enjoyed a good meal.

Santa and a Movie
We got to go to a free movie and see Santa today, compliments of our realtor Deb. Alex wanted to sit with Santa but didn’t want to stay for the movie so I took him to the park while Laura and Brooke stayed and watched the Peanuts movie.
