We took a few days to go to D.C. and see the Smithsonian Museums that were open. We visited The American History Museum, The National Zoo, The American Art Museum, and The National Air and Space Museum at Chantilly. We also walked the mall and saw The Capitol, The White House, and the Washington and Lincoln Monuments. Brooke took a lot of the pictures with her new kids’ camera.

AJ had a fun Father’s Day this year. It started with sleeping in and then after a blueberry pancake breakfast, he received his gifts. A dad-joke scavenger hunt led to his present. After some relaxing time, we went to the pool.
Brooke had the fun idea to send Opa all his favorite snacks for Father’s Day, and we got to see him open the box. We didn’t account for the Arizona heat though.
Brooke did a fantastic job at her first piano recital. She also played a duet with her instructor Mrs. Rohr.
Brooke had a fun birthday sharing it with her friends at school and then opening gifts and playing. The next day we took her to the Adventure Park for climbing in the trees and zip lining!
