Great Bridge Preschool Mother’s Day Dessert

Today Brooke’s teachers held a dessert right before pickup so that we could have snacks with our children and they could give us crafts they made.  Alex had fun as well enjoying snacks and drinking from a cup.  Brooke was too busy munching to smile, haha.

After naps we spent a rainy day puddle splashing.

Splash Pad Fun

Today was warm enough to take my cuties to our local splash pad at the amazing Great Bridge YMCA Pool.  I love that this is 6 minutes away from my house!  I have a feeling we will be living here all summer.  It was just warm enough for a bit of splashing and both the kids had a blast!

Brooke’s Birthday Dress

Brooke had asked Oma for a polka dotted dress for her birthday and Oma sewed a beautiful dress for her.  Brooke loves it!

Pungo Tar Roof Bazaar

Today I took the kids to Pungo for the Tar Roof Bazaar.  It was advertized as a gathering of community and culture so that peaked my interest and we drove out.  They had many different tents with different arts, crafts, antiques, etc.  Brooke was happy eating the sandwich I packed for her but Alex was set on my southern BBQ pulled pork sandwich I got from a food tent. We danced and sang to the talented performer who entertained us.  After lunch we entered the Tar Roof to find that it was an art gallery.  We enjoyed looking at the historic home and the art inside.  The next door surf shop let the kids play on their half pipe too.
