It was a warm one this afternoon and after playing outside while Mommy and Daddy planted trees and worked in the garden these silly monkeys needs to cool off.

Brooke’s First 1K Race
Today was Brooke’s first running race! We had been practicing running the 1K distance around our neighborhood for about a month. Brooke has always been a good runner and it is something she really likes to do. She was very excited to run her own race and get her very own metal. After picking up her packet and bib we got ready at the start line. Brooke ran the entire 1K! She always stopped to walk once or twice during practice and I kept waiting for her to ask to walk but she kept powering on. She finished the race in 05:40 with a 09:07 min/mi pace! She did a great job and we are so proud of her. Way to go Brooke!
Brooke’s Spring Concert- Camp Sing-a-long
Today Brooke had her spring concert which was themed Camp Sing-a-long. As the tallest person in her class she lined up to get on the stage first and that meant her and her friend Ryan (second tallest) got to hold the sign as they ‘marched’ in the auditorium. Brooke has been singing these songs for a few months now so we were happy to see her sing them on stage.
Spring Fun
It has started to warm up here and the kids have been enjoying some of the fun parts of spring like fields of buttercups, baby ducks, blooms on our apple tree, and easter candy from school.
MOMS Club Easter Egg Hunt
Today I took the kids to an egg hunt with the MOMS Club. The kiddos had a lot of fun hunting for eggs and then enjoying the goodies inside!
