After attending Alex’s friend’s birthday party at the Virginia Zoo we were free to walk around the exhibits. We had a good time looking at the animals.

Pool Days
We have spent about 5 out of 7 days a week at the pool this summer. I don’t often take pictures because we are playing in the water, but since that is what we spent most of our time doing this summer I grabbed these of us having lunch at the pool the other day.
Brooke’s Swim Necklace
Today Brooke took the swim test and acquired her swim necklace on her first try. This means that she can swim anywhere in the pool without an adult and can go down the yellow slide. We are proud of you Brooke!
Brooke’s Missing Another Tooth
Brooke lost her 5th tooth today, and currently has 3 missing. She is apparently wanting to be a jack o’lantern for Halloween.
Beach Day and Blueberry Picking
I took the kiddos to beach again today because it is supposed to rain for a week straight and I wanted to make sure they got some more beach time before that happened. We made sand ice cream and dough then all swam in the ocean together before they jumped ‘Cowabundga!’ into the waves while I watched and took pictures. We washed up and then stopped to look at some flowers and the lotus garden before meeting AJ after his workday to pick blueberries. It was a long but fun day!
