Laura and Alex Come Home

On Friday, Laura and Alex got to come home.  Both have done great and were excited to be home again.  While in the hospital, AJ would go and help and visit every morning.  Brooke stayed home with her babysitter, Brittney, who did a fantastic job looking after Brooke.  They had fun making crafts that were pre-setup by Laura, going to the park, and opening a gift for Brooke, from Laura, each day that Laura was gone.  AJ would go and pick Brooke up after her afternoon nap and bring her to the hospital to visit with Laura and Alex.  She would bring her craft to show Mommy each night, and Laura would keep these hanging in her room; it certainly was the prettiest hospital room you ever did see.

First Finger-painting Craft

Today I thought it would be fun to do some finger-painting with Brooke.  I had brought her paints a while ago but today we made a Target run and got some paper.  Brooke was very timid to start and wanted her finger cleaned between each color.  However, when Mommy started pouring paint on the page and making full hand-prints, fingerprints, and getting messy she played along too.  Here is our masterpiece.

Last Family Day of Three

This Tuesday was AJ’s last day off before we become a family of four and we spent it together taking Brooke out to breakfast and because it was raining, to a local bounce house.  We all had an amazing time and Brooke did some great bouncing and climbing.

Botanical Gardens Fun

Today I took Brooke to the Botanical Gardens for a day of fun.  We are really enjoying some Mommy/Daughter time together right now.  We of course watched airplanes and then went to the butterfly garden and ended at the water fountains.  I had a lot of fun with her and I think she enjoyed her day as well.

Here are some pictures of us with Brooke over the last three weeks.  We have been enjoying our time with her knowing soon there will be four of us.  I especially have been spending a lot of quality time with her out and about this last week because AJ has been working night shift and sleeping during the day.  Here’s the photos of our adventures!
