Brooke and Alex had their first day of school today! Alex is now at the same school as Brooke and finally got to ride the bus! Brooke is starting 2nd grade and Alex is in Kindergarten. They were both very excited to start school again!
Alex was super excited he didn’t need any immunizations this time at his five year old well check with Dr. Mink. He is 60lbs (no kidding, tell my kinked back) and 48.8 inches tall!
On Alex’s 5th Birthday I took the kiddos to Funville while AJ was working and lunch at Chipotle. They had a great time at the indoor play area. In the afternoon we made Alex’s cake. He wanted to help with every part and make vanilla with vanilla icing but with all different colors. They had a good time squirting each other with his new water squirters before we enjoyed dinner and, of course, CAKE!
Alex had a wild time at his Crocodile Zoo birthday party! In the morning we let him open his presents from family and he enjoyed playing with them until it was party time. We were in a really cool party hut and the kids had fun playing games until they had their animal encounters. First was a pancake turtle, a boa snake, and a Madagascar Tenrec named Bruce Quillis. The kids had a great time and learned a lot. Afterward we had pizza and cake and then explored the zoo with some friends. Before the zoo closed we took the train ride and Alex picked Wendy’s for dinner. He had a great day!
The kids wanted to have a lemonade stand so we got all the supplies, Brooke made a sign and we set up on the corner of our property. The kids wanted to give the lemonade away for free and we did to a few people but our neighbors are too nice. After two hours and nine customers they raised $11.50 which they used to treat us all to ice cream the next day.
