Daddy had a great weekend with the kiddos and took them everywhere! They had lots of fun and did lots of things but I think they all really enjoyed going to a Tides game together!

My Husband is AWESOME aka Kayak Holders
While I was away AJ not only took care of both kids and took them to an outing everyday (pool, museum for craft and kids time, plant nursery for kids day, model train exhibit at the library, baseball game), but he fixed our shower and ordered and installed a system to hang our kayaks so they are not under our deck! He is AMAZING!!
O’Connor Date Night
We went on a date night in Norfolk and finally went to the O’Connor brewery. They opened when I was pregnant with Alex so it was only about time we got there (3 years later). It was a huge building with a wall of open windows that we watched a lightning storm while drinking our beers.
Alex Peddling
AJ was playing with Alex outside and teaching him to peddle the big wheel now that his feet touch the pedals. He apparently did a better job before AJ started filming and then had some ideas of his own on how to move the big wheel around.
Swan Lake
For my birthday this year I asked AJ to take me to see one of the two showings of Swan Lake when it was being performed during the Virginia Arts Festival. It was a wonderful and interesting evening. The ballet was absolutely beautiful. We had dinner and then AJ accidentally fell asleep twice during the first half just for a quick minute he said (he had gotten up at 5am that morning). He said he really enjoyed the ballet except for the part for when ‘they just kept dancing, and dancing, and dancing’ but commended them for ‘the fastest death scene you’ve ever seen’. On the way home AJ was accidentally speeding on the freeway and got pulled over. When he was asked he told the officer we had been seeing Swan Lake for my birthday. The officer gave AJ a warning as his birthday gift to me and we were off to home and bed.
