I went to Dallas this week for a medical director’s conference, and while I missed being at home with Laura and the kids I still had a good time learning, catching up with Adam Dawson (an old high school friend who I ran into) and playing poker.
All the 4 year olds at Brooke’s school had a ‘Donuts with Dad’ breakfast this morning where the kids presented their dads with a necktie or bow tie that they had colored along with a placemat that was decorated by them with fun facts that they had told their teachers who helped write them down. It was a lot of fun and a very special time for us.
I took Brooke and Alex to the Ringling Bros circus for the first time this year. Unfortunately it is also the last year for the circus. We all had a great time though watching the acrobatics, clowns, animals and general fun of the circus. Alex especially liked the popcorn and cotton candy.
Tonight Alex was being cute playing in his bath, but he has a strict “no pictures” policy.

Brooke got to go to her first camp this summer. We weren’t sure if she would like it so we initially started her off just three out of the five days, but she was enjoying herself so much that we ended up signing her up for the other two days after the 2nd day. She loved going there every morning and doing gymnastics with the other kids, making a craft and having snacks.
