Great Wolf Lodge

This past Monday we went to the Great Wolf Lodge, an indoor water park we had just visited in March.  This time we went for just a day trip, and had a blast.  Brooke loved splashing around in the water again.  With our new phones that are water-resistant I even took lots of photos in the water and some videos going down the water slides (I might have pushed the limits of the water resistance, but the phone still works).  At the end of the day, you could tell Brooke really enjoyed herself by how quickly she fell asleep on the car ride home… barely made it out of the parking lot.

Ammy and Papa Visit

This past week we had Grammy and Grandpa visit.  Brooke had a hard time saying her “G’s”, so we finally settled on the names Ammy and Papa for now, which Brooke took to very well.  We had a great week spending time with them.  Brooke specifically had a blast going to the trampoline park, playing at the playground, visiting the botanical gardens, going kayaking and just spending some quality time at home with Ammy and Papa, to name just a few of the things we did.

Easter Walk

We took a nice walk on this Easter Sunday as a family at First Landing State Park. Brooke stopped to have a picnic in the middle of the trail, and afterwards we continued on our way. On our way home we decided to try Wawa sandwiches, and Brooke enjoyed some Doritos on the ride home.

Easel House

Brooke loves her drawing easel. Sometimes she likes to climb inside of it to hide. It’s getting harder and harder for her though and she keeps growing.

Laura’s Birthday

This past Sunday was Laura’s birthday.  We made a weekend out of it, doing her favorite things.  We started off with a nice family picnic to Knott’s Island in NC along with some hiking.  Then on Saturday we went to Dim Sum, to the mall to shop (and let Brooke play), then Laura and I went out to dinner that night to Eurasia followed by an art exhibit.  On Sunday, Brooke and I made Laura breakfast and even hand-picked some flowers from our backyard.  Laura and Brooke had fun making banana bread, and to top off the night Laura had to listen to our singing of ‘Happy Birthday’.
