Yesterday Brooke wrote me a love song thanking me for taking them to the farm. She even wrote lyrics out and then rehearsed it with Alex. Today she wrote one for AJ. Our kiddos are so sweet!

Art Out Loud Date Night
We went to the Art Out Loud evening event at the Chrysler Museum which included drinks, interactive museum exhibits, a comedy tour of the galleries, and a burlesque show. We rounded out the evening trying out a new tapas place. It was a great date night!
Kite-flying Fun
We had a nice and windy day today and decided to fly our kite at the park.
Vintage Dollhouse
When Brooke was three years old Oma sent my old dollhouse for her to have. Now that Alex is older it is in the playroom for them both. This morning they brought it down and were playing with it together for hours. So cute!
AJ’s 36th Birthday and Ski Trip
We celebrated AJ’s 36th birthday a few days early with cake and presents (a NEW BIKE!) because we went on a ski trip (first time in 10 years) over his birthday weekend. The kids got to learn the basics in ski school which they LOVED and had a great time. AJ and I got a ‘day-date’ ski/snowboarding in the foggy mountains of VA including a relaxing lunch. After their school we skied as a family for the rest of the day. The kids did great their first time and Brooke did so well she went down a long green run twice, once with Daddy and once with Mommy. Happy birthday AJ!
