Harborfest
I had to talk these kids into going to Harborfest with me this year (I know right? Mermaids! Pirates!) but when I eventually got them in the car we all had a great time. Not only did we see mermaids and pirates, we saw the Coast Guard rescue people from the harbor and went on every single tall ship in anchor. They even got to pull up the sails. The kids loved it!
Brooke’s 7 Year Well Check
Well checks are a piece of cake for a big kid. She just chatted with Dr. Mink and went home with a sticker. Here’s the stats: 54.8 inches, 69 lbs.
Brooke’s Dance Recital
Brooke did an amazing job at her dance recital. She worked hard and memorized her choreography and was even featured in both songs. Unfortunately, they discouraged pictures or videoing but we snapped a few pictures. Brooke was given an award after the finale for being one of the most improved dancers this year. Only a handful of kids got a trophy. She was very excited and very proud!
Dress Rehersal
Today was Brooke’s dress rehearsal for her ballet and tap performance this weekend. We got her all dressed in her first costume before taking her to the Sandler Center. I filmed the first dance but wanted to watch the second. Unfortunately, we learned we weren’t allowed to video the performance so next time I’ll get them all at rehearsal!
