Brooke told me she had to dress up for career day and she was going to stand up in front of the classroom to read her persuasive paragraph that she wrote about her career. When I asked what she wrote her paragraph about she smiled and said “Oh being a Mommy!” So we started planning her ‘costume.’ I lent her one of my purses to act as a diaper bag and she had: her wallet, keys, baby bottle, change of clothes for baby, and a ducky toy. She even insisted that she wear shorts and a t-shirt because that’s what I wear. I made her a visitor pass for the school like the one I wear when I’m at the school. Brooke said Babydoll got to sit with her at her desk and Mrs. Sholes even let her bring her to recess.

Alex’s Preschool Graduation
Today Alex had his ceremony for finishing preschool. He scored very well on his kindergarten readiness test and is looking forward to being at the same school as Brooke next year. After they sang and he got his diploma we took him out to lunch to celebrate.
An Afternoon with Mommy at the Museum
After Alex’s graduation we went to the art museum for a visit. We watched the glass show before exploring the exhibits. It was some nice one on one time.
Alex’s End of the Year School Party
Alex had his end of the year school party at Funville and AJ got to take him. Alex had a lot of fun playing with all his school ‘buddies’ and AJ had a fun time watching them. They were the last to leave the party.
Breaking Geodes
Brooke got a National Geographic Geode Kit from her friend for her birthday. She decided to break one and let Alex do one as well (she’s got six left). Brooke was very excited to wear her own science goggles like the pair she wears at school. Alex’s was solid and after him destroying a sock trying to break it open AJ finally had to put it in the street and slam it repetitively with my 10lb hammer before we got it open. Brooke took hers to class to be viewed under her class microscope to show the other kids and her teacher.
