Alex’s Pre-K class took a field trip to Hickory Ridge Farms to learn about animals, plants, and pick pumpkins. Luckily AJ was off work and could come too. At the end Alex finally got what he had been asking for all summer- to ride a pony.

Today we went pumpkin picking with the kiddos at Greenbrier Farms. They had a fun area for the kids to play in and a farm animal petting area. This week I had the kids make Halloween cutouts for the front door and we make ghost crafts for our trees. We are officially decorated for fall!
Alex fell asleep in the chair with AJ after reading books. So sweet!
We had a family day today which started with attempting to look at the Cape Henry Lighthouse which didn’t quite work out, but after that we hiked a bit in First Landing State Park before having lunch at Chick’s on the water and then went to the NAS Oceana Air Show. The highlight of the show was being able to walk onto a plane’s wing and the Blue Angels show.
