Barnyard Palooza Summer Camp
This week Alex had ‘farm camp’ and enjoyed doing different farm activities every day. Monday he planted seeds, watered the garden, and shucked corn. He got a corn on the cob that I cooked him for an afternoon snack. Tuesday he learned about baby chicks and chickens. Wednesday they learned about goats and had a story read to them by real farmers. Thursday they learned all about bee keeping and enjoyed some honey. After that they did some fishing and played farm. Friday they learned about cows, got to ‘milk’ a cow, and had watermelon!
Rainy Dinner at Harbor Park
We went to Harbor Park early to enjoy the free dinner EVMS gives us for AJ being a preceptor. While we were eating a huge thunderstorm rolled through. It didn’t quite let up and with the rain delay it was going to be too late for our kiddos to stay through the game. So this year we just had dinner. Next year hopefully dinner and baseball!
Alex’s Art Camp
While Brooke is finishing out her last three weeks of school Alex is going to summer camp 9am to noon. This week was art camp. He had a lot of fun making several different types of art including his own tye-dye shirt. At the end of the week he had an art exhibit.
Memorial Day
This Memorial Day I woke up early and made everyone red, white, and blue breakfast, then we had a playdate with friends at the park, ate grilled hot dogs for lunch with Daddy, and when he went to work and it started raining the kiddos and I watched a movie.
