Halloween

We celebrated Halloween by sending both kiddos to school in their costumes.  Alex had a parade and we got to see his classmates costumes.  Afterwards AJ and I were the room parents for the Halloween party and helped the kids with a craft.  I did a shape bat and AJ did a cotton ball ghost.  I had fun prepping both these for the class.  After a quick lunch at the local taco bell/KCF with a sighting of The Colonel who ended up ordering Taco Bell, I went to Brooke’s class to volunteer.  After school AJ and I got into costume.  Before heading out for the night, I decided to show my costume to the neighborhood kids in a unique way.  We went to a neighborhood party for dinner before trick-or-treating.  The kids were really into it this year, running from house to house.  We even used the storage in the walker to dump their pumpkins once and they filled them up again.  Everyone had a great time!

Carving Pumpkins

Today we carved the pumpkins for Halloween.  We had a great time and they really turned out this year!

AJ- Cat
Laura- Vampire Jack-o-lantern
Brooke- Pumpkin within a Pumpkin
Alex- Ghostie

Alex’s Turkey Craft

Alex got a craft from school wherein he was supposed to disguise a turkey so it wouldn’t get eaten on Thanksgiving.  He was very secretive about this and didn’t want Brooke or I to know about it.  So when he got home from school I did a target run to let him and AJ disguise the turkey.  Alex came up with making the turkey a fireman!

Alex Pets All the Animals

I took Alex to Bergey’s and he wanted to pet all the animals even chasing down two barn cats.

Williamsburg Girls Trip

My friend Maia and I went away for the night to Williamsburg.  We started off in Colonial Williamsburg with a carriage ride and some window shopping.  Then lunch and a massage at the Salt Spa.  We checked into our hotel, soaked in the hot tub then went to dinner at Le Yaca.  The next day after breakfast and checking out we went to the Williamsburg Winery for a wine tour/tasting then lunch at Archer Tavern.  We drove home late afternoon to be back before dinner.  It was a really fun time!
