Today was Alex’s last day of 3 year old preschool. He has had a fun year spending three mornings a week with Miss Amy and Miss Lisa and they have helped him grow and learn.

New Old Toys
Christine and I played with these race cars from the 80s when I was a kid (the set was made in WEST Germany). My mom saved them and now Alex and Brooke are having a great time racing them through this starter track I made for them.
Brooke’s Kindergarten Concert
Tonight Brooke sang to us from the stage of her gymnatorium at school. All four kindergarten classes sang several songs and everyone enjoyed their cuteness. Brooke got a picture with her teachers Mrs. Soles and Mrs. Pickering afterwards.
Alex’s End of the Year Party
Today Alex’s class ended early to have an end of the year party with his classmates and teachers. The teachers went all out making a circus themed party for the kids out of three classrooms including 12 carnival games to play, concessions, and lunch afterwards.
Brooke’s 6th Birthday
Today Brooke turned 6! As is our family tradition she got to pick all the meals and what we did that day. We started it off with birthday donuts followed by getting her on the bus for school. We quickly went and got her the lunch she wanted and drove to school to meet her for lunch. Brooke helped me pick some peonies from our yard for her favorite teacher Mrs. Pickering who shares Brooke’s birthday. We got to eat lunch with Brooke and she choose one friend to join her at the birthday table. She selected her good friend Julian. After eating her Wendy’s chicken nuggets and fries with sprite (her first time having soda at a meal!), we passed out the ice cream bars we had purchased from the school cafeteria to share with her class to celebrate her birthday. Everyone enjoyed their treat. Mrs. Pickering was so kind and told us that we could come with them to their classroom to have the kids sing to her. After they did AJ lead the class in a rousing second singing of happy birthday for Mrs. Pickering. After school Brooke got to play with her new toys as she requested and I made her stroganoff (her favorite meal) for dinner followed by birthday cake!
