Daddy Alex Snuggles

These guys just love to snuggle.

Halloween

This Halloween was a busy one!  We started off the day with Daddy FINALLY feeling better after being sick for a week.  He was feeling so good he decided to make us pancake breakfast with witches hats and pumpkin shaped pancakes.  After getting Brooke on the bus, I took Alex to storytime and then to the park for a playdate with CJ.  When AJ got home from work we carved pumpkins with Alex and then Brooke when she got home from school.  I made us some from-scratch chicken strew with ghost, scary cat, and pumpkin biscuits.  Then we dressed in our costumes, The Good Wolf and the Three Little Pigs, to go trick-or-treating.  We got home after only an hour as they said they were tired.  The kids ate A LOT of candy and then stayed up 2 hours after their bedtime on sugar high.  Brooke did some creative drawing of us trick-or-treating on the road.  It was a good Halloween!

Alex’s Halloween Parade

Alex’s preschool had a Halloween Parade where the kids could wear their costumes.  Afterwards they brought us into the classroom to show us two Halloween songs they have been working on.  Then he had a Halloween party with his class.

Picking Pumpkins

We went to pick pumpkins for Halloween today.  Unfortunately, AJ and I am sick so we just went and got our pumpkins and headed out.  Brooke and Alex still enjoyed cutting them off the vine.

Ammy and Papa Watch Brooke and Alex

Ammy and Papa did a great job taking care of Brooke and Alex while we were away on our vacation to the Bahamas!  I was super nervous about leaving the kiddos, not because I thought that Ammy and Papa wouldn’t do an excellent job, but because it has been so long (never for Alex) since they’ve been without at least one parent.  We had WiFi and I sent a picture of us when we arrived to let Ammy know we were safe.  Ammy wrote us sweet emails with pictures of the kiddos so we knew they were not only safe but incredibly happy.  The four of them had a great time and both kids were better behaved than they usually are for Mommy and Daddy!!  Here are the pictures Ammy took. 🙂
