Brooke’s Gymnastics Camp

Brooke got to go to her first camp this summer.  We weren’t sure if she would like it so we initially started her off just three out of the five days, but she was enjoying herself so much that we ended up signing her up for the other two days after the 2nd day.  She loved going there every morning and doing gymnastics with the other kids, making a craft and having snacks.

Brooke’s Castles and miscellany

Brooke takes quiet time most days and naps usually once a week (more often if we are having a physically rigorous week). During quiet time she has taken to building me elaborate buildings she often calls castles though sometimes they are schools or complete towns.  Here are a few pictures of her creations now that I started taking pictures of them.  Also miscellaneous pictures of her and Alex: having actual tea (tisane), wearing my shoes (Alex is obsessed with my heels), Brooke’s seeing Finding Dory with a friend, a day in our garden harvest, and the dinner it created.

4th of July Celebration- Alex’s First Fireworks!

For this year’s 4th of July Celebration we headed the Chesapeake City Park to enjoy their festivities and fireworks show.  We enjoyed some of the kids crafts and bounce houses but when they shut them down (an hour before fireworks started) we took to the Fun Forest to play.  Once the fireworks started Alex was awestruck!  He didn’t even suck his thumb or wince once.  He really enjoyed his first fireworks show!  Happy Birthday America!
