Pungo Tar Roof Bazaar

Today I took the kids to Pungo for the Tar Roof Bazaar.  It was advertized as a gathering of community and culture so that peaked my interest and we drove out.  They had many different tents with different arts, crafts, antiques, etc.  Brooke was happy eating the sandwich I packed for her but Alex was set on my southern BBQ pulled pork sandwich I got from a food tent. We danced and sang to the talented performer who entertained us.  After lunch we entered the Tar Roof to find that it was an art gallery.  We enjoyed looking at the historic home and the art inside.  The next door surf shop let the kids play on their half pipe too.

International Children’s Festival

On a whim I drove the kids to Hampton to check out the International Children’s Festival.  It is a festival encompassing many of the countries and cultures around the globe 100% geared towards children.  With crafts, kids activities, music, and dancing at each country (tent).  Brooke and Alex enjoyed watching and dancing along the best.

Laura’s 34th Birthday

On my birthday I took AJ and the kids to Lawson Lake for a hike then we spent the afternoon enjoying my birthday gift from the kids (a new hammock!)  I had a date night with AJ to Lantern Asia at NBG!

Puddle Jumping

With all the rain we decided to go outside and jump in some puddles.  Of course we warmed up with hot cocoa and marshmallows afterwards.
