This last week Alex turned six months old but I was waiting until today to make this post because today is when he had his six month appointment with Dr. Mink and we got his growth stats. He weighs 19lbs 13oz and is 28.1 inches long. Dr. Mink also gave me the go ahead to introduce more foods other than the apples, pears, sweet potatoes, peas, prunes, and oatmeal which was all he was allowed to have until he turned six months. I am sure our hungry boy will be happy about that. At six months old Alex likes to: put everything in his mouth, kick his feet, grab and chew on his feet, put his hands in his mouth while eating his baby food, stick out his tongue, smile at everyone, laugh at me, AJ, and Brooke, suck only his left thumb, ‘talk’ A LOT, make raspberry sounds particularly while kicking his feet, wake up in the middle of the night to cry for an hour even though he is fed, changed, and comforted in our arms, change his wake up time to 6:45am, take a bath every night and Brooke joins him for her baths, wake Brooke up in the morning and after her nap, lie in Brooke’s bed and play with her, be read to, sit up on own in the activity chair and jumper, roll over from front to back, turn himself 360 degrees every night in the crib, and drool everywhere with no sign of teeth.
