Our Day

Today Brooke and I had a typical day day.  We ran 3 miles at the park before SS then went to stroller strides where she had a wonderful time and I finished out 4.5 miles and had a total body workout, then she ran around with her friends.  Then after her nap, during which I made 3 days worth of meals (yes I have been on a cooking streak- yesterday was 2 days worth), it became sunny for 1 hour so we decided to take advantage of it and finally go to the park.  For those of you not in Virginia it has been raining for a week and half straight.  Brooke was so cute playing around in her room with me until the sun broke I had to take pictures of her adorable face!  She is eating her 2nd lunch during the photos and we were laughing it up (yes Brooke eats breakfast, snack, lunch 1, lunch 2, snack, dinner).  We had just enough time at the playground before it started to storm again.  Enjoy!

Brooke’s First Scarf

Using the yarn I had left from the first scarf I ever made, I decided to make one for Brooke.  I knit her baby blanket and thought she might like a scarf since she was fond of mine.  She actually loved to wear her scarf- I think she is in a mimic mommy phase.  I had to veto her taking into rain puddles, on her food table with saucy fingers, and in the bath.  Other than that she wore it when at home.  I wish I had some shots of her wearing just the diaper and the scarf today- that was hilarious.

Daddy-Daughter Weekend

This past weekend Brooke and I had a Daddy-Daughter weekend.  We hung out the whole weekend together, playing, going to the Children’s Festival, taking walks around the neighborhood, going to the park, eating lunch out and splashing in the rain.  It was a good time for the two of us.

Kite Flying Fun

Yesterday Brooke and I went to the park with our friends Jen and Adrianna.  Both girls had a fun time trying to fly the kite in our arms.  And earlier that day Brooke had fun with some Stonewall blackberry jam.
