Brooke has been “clicking” a bunch lately. We think it is her version of blowing kisses, as every time we kiss at her she will click back at us. Of course, now all we do is click back and forth. Also, Brooke has found a new food she likes – cheese! She happily helped eat some of Dad’s string cheese tonight.

Brooke has been standing so well that now you can let her hold on by herself. In fact, today we went to the Virginia Children’s Museum and did lots of standing (and some steering) with our friend Jackson and his mom Heather.

Today was Brooke’s 9 month well baby check at the pediatrician office and lucky for her no shots. Brooke is trying to be like the main man in her life, Daddy. She is growing even taller at 30.3 inches and 21lbs. Her eyes now match his golden green hazel color as well.

Today is Brooke’s first Valentine’s and also her 9 month birthday! She looks like she could repair some broken hearts in her cute baby scrub onesie. Did someone say they needed an adorable baby picture STAT?!?!
We also got to spend time with 4 month old Bayleigh and Katie at Oak Grove Park.
Last Saturday was the VIFL 14K. I ran with my running group ‘Mom’s Gotta Run’ and completed it in 1hr:20min:23sec, a 9.22min mile. This was by far my fastest race and the most enjoyable after party with bread bowl soup, Yuengling, and all my fellow moms to celebrate!
