Christmas 2012

This was Brooke’s first Christmas, and she seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. We all were able to spend it together, and Oma and Opa were able to come out and visit as well. Brooke loved opening gifts on Christmas Day, sometimes playing with the wrapping paper was the best part – maybe a cheap alternative to gifts next year for her? She got everything she wanted, except her top front teeth. It was a nice week we had visiting with Oma and Opa as well, going to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens to see the lights, walking on the boardwalk, taking a walk on Christmas Day and just enjoying their company.

Christmas Town and Colonial Williamsburg – December 19th – 20th, 2012

We took a short “stay-cation” to Williamsburg this week, going to Christmas Town at Busch Gardens the first day, then to Colonial Williamsburg the next. Brooke seemed to enjoy all the lights and decorations at Christmas Town the most, forgoing her late afternoon nap to look all around.

Santa Claus Shuffle – December 15th, 2012

Today was the Santa Claus Shuffle, a 5K race in downtown Portsmouth. It was Brooke’s first race (and AJ’s too). Brooke was adorable, getting giggles from all the other runners as she smiled at them in her Santa outfit.
